4 channel Amplifier PCI card for AWG instruments

Quad channel Amplifier PCI card increases the standard output of the Arbitrary Waveform Generator cards from ±3V up to ±10V.

Bus: PCI Express, PCI-X
Instruments: Arbitrary Waveform Generators

The optional Amplifier PCI cards increase the standard output of the Arbitrary Waveform Generator cards from ±3V up to ±10V. Three different models are available with 1, 2 or 4 channels. No programming is necessary to operate. The amplifier has a 30 MHz bandwidth and output impedance of 50 Ohm. This allows ±10 V with high impedance termination or ±5 V with 50 ohm termination.

How the Amplifier card works

The Amplifier PCI card is installed in the next slot to the AWG card. The AWG outputs are connected to the Amplifier inputs with the cables supplied. In order to compensate for the different offset and gains errors of the Amplifier card, an additional set of calibration settings is stored in the AWG card. To select these, the AWG card has to be told if the Amplifier card is going to be used.
