Drivers for LabWIndows/CVI

LabWindows/CVI can be used with all of the Strategic Test Digitizer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator and high-speed Digital I/O boards.

We don’t provide a dedicated LabWindows driver as the standard Windows instrument driver can be integrated into LabWindows. Examples are provided that show and explain this. The examples are free of charge.

The driver allows you to access all of the hardware features of the instrument board, including the wide variety of triggering possibilities and the additional options such as Multiple Recording, Gated Sampling, Time Stamp or the Extra I/O boards.

It is also possible to configure multi-board systems. Up to 16 instrument boards of the same or different types can be configured using the Cascaded Synchronization or Star Hub Synchronization hardware options - all cards are then accessed and controlled as a totally synchronized system through LabWindows.

Using LabWindows you can perform high-speed measurements or signal generation. However, we don’t recommend LabWindows for streaming applications as the data transfer rate between the instrument card and the host PC is too slow. If you need to record or generate signals longer than the instrument card memory, please use the Windows, Linux, or LabVIEW drivers.
