Overview
The TRITON LP module is an Intel XScale PXA255
CPU SBC module in a DIMM format that has been optimized for mobile
battery based applications.
TRITON-LP is a complete computer, ingeniously implemented on a board smaller than a credit card, and ready to be designed into your embedded system. The LP model includes a 300MHz Intel®XScale processor, SDRAM, Flash memory, RTC, optional Touchcreen controller, Silicon ID and 10 Mbps Ethernet. It is possible to directly connect an LCD and PCMCIA / CF drive.
Despite these powerful features, the module occupies an area of just 67.6 x 36.6 mm and a maximum installed height of only 7.3 mm.
Extended temperature
All components used are for extended temperature operation from -45 degC to +85 degC.
Expansion
The TRITON-LP is supplied with a DIMM144 connector and two low-profile 100-pin SAMTEC connectors to provide the designer with access to most of the PXA255's signals for nearly unlimited expansion. Perfect for battery-powered applications, the TRITON-LP is equipped with ultra-low-power components including mobile SDRAMs and a
low-power 10 Mbps Ethernet controller.
The TRITON-LP also contains the unique programmable core power generator which allows you to vary the CPU voltage from 0.9V to 1.5V to further reduce consumption. This can be further reduced by using a combination of sleep-mode and clock-rate
selection. With these features it is possible to flexibly control the total power-consumption
for any application.
