Base Extra I/O

The Base Extra i/o option adds eight digital I/O lines usable as asynchronous I/O and/or timestamp ref-clock and additional external trigger lines.

Eight MMCX connectors are placed on the base board and one additional bracket with 8 SMB connectors are included.

Applications:

reading / writing status information to other equipment
controlling other equipment within an OEM product
extra triggers and time stamp signalling

The i/o direction of the digital XIO signals can be set in groups of four:

Driving capabilities and input levels

Used as inputs: TTL compatible (high > 2.0V, low < 0.8V)
Used as outputs, LVTTL 3.3V with max. 32 mA per pin (Upon request available as 2.5 V outputs)

Using BaseXIO Lines for Extra Options

The four lower lines are set to input direction, the upper lines can be programmed as input or output.
Inputs are then used as reference clock signal for timestamp and as two additional external triggers.
